With 20+ years experience in marketing and business, she provides a laser focus for clients through her consulting work. Judy also shares her expertise in speaking engagements to business leaders.
Judy’s career roots are in public relations. Her earliest work as director of PR for USC College of Continuing Education subsequently led her to found a marketing communications agency in the late 80‘s.
Her partner, Greg Asbury joined the firm in the early 90s, and the two grew the agency to serve clients in Indonesia and Asia, as well as the US and locally in California. Together, they developed innovative marketing campaigns achieving many successes: winning lucrative bids for NFL Super Bowl and International World Cup Finals; assisting in the launch and successful development of the cut flower industry in an Asian nation; defining identity and image for a new health care foundation; creating a new paradigm for developing countries shattered by disaster.
She has unique expertise in new media and its use for marketing. Judy is a pioneer in mobile communications, having developed and launched Mocca, LLC, a text messaging firm in 2003, well before Twitter became a household word. Her text subscription campaign for Britney Spears Tour is now a textbook example of mobile campaigns.
Judy is a frequent guest lecturer, most recently at the Claremont Drucker School of Management and Woodbury University.
Judy has a unique understanding of nonprofits from her own volunteer commitments. She recently served as the President of the Board of Directors for Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center, a critically acclaimed two-generation learning center. Under her tenure, the organization successfully completed a capital campaign to raise $6.5 million, built a state of the art LEED certified building and expanded services to area low income families. Mothers’ Club has received national acclaim as a result of collaborations and communications she helped to produce. She has been active in Rotary Club of Pasadena and is a member of the distinguished Counselor’s Academy of the Public Relations Society of America, and has earned professional accreditation by PRSA.
She has received awards from the numerous professional associations including: IABC Ace Award, PRSA Prism, PCLA Pro, and the ICSC Maxi Award.
