QueensCare, created out of the sale of the Queen of Angels hospital, is both a safety net foundation and a direct services provider of healthcare for low income and uninsured LA County residents. Because of its unique position, QueensCare is at the forefront of many innovative collaborative healthcare strategies. That experience contained critical data to inform the nation’s debate on healthcare reform.
SAI created the logo and messaging for the organization, and carried it through in annual reports distributed to community leaders, healthcare advocates and policy makers. Reports described collaborations, innovative tactics and approach through direct patient stories and statistics.
QueensCare is well respected as a model for community clinics and healthcare outreach partnerships with churches, temples and mosques. The 2009 annual report commemorating the tenth anniversary of the organization, was widely circulated throughout Los Angeles, Sacramento and Washington DC as an example of an effective model for affordable quality urban healthcare.
