Challenge and Situation: The national law firm known for its expertise in intellectual property law and Delaware business law, wanted a website that reflected its stellar reputation. It had recently been in the news for several wins in patent and business litigation, including the patent for Pfizer’s Lipitor®, the largest selling drug in the world.

Solution: SAI conducted a review of the strategic vision of the firm to determine the most important audiences and critical messages for the website. A site structure was developed to reflect that vision, and the design and specific functions were crafted with input from the firm's website committee. A back end content management system (CMS) was implemented so that information such as attorneys, practice areas, publications, news and representative cases could be dynamically referenced in multiple ways.

Particular attention was given to communicating the brand, “IP Smart, Business Savvy, Client Connected.” Illustrated prominently on the home page and practice area page, the brand is also more subtly communicated throughout the site content.

Upon completion of the site, SAI designed an email broadcast to clients and key targets, to announce the new site and enhanced features.
